Job said it in the midst of all his troubles. Even though his heart was broken and his life was in shambles, Job said these wonderful words that, at Easter, brings joy to every believing heart:
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth" (Job 19:25).
Today we know what Job no doubt learned before his story ended, that our redemption is not just for a time to come. Our redemption is now.
He is risen, and we are raised with him!
Happy Easter!
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved), And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 4-9).
